Kevin D. Swanson

Kevin has over thirty years of experience in public and private equity investing and investment banking. He began his career at Goldman, Sachs & Co. and later joined the private equity firm Gibbons, Green, van Amerongen, the first private equity boutique founded in 1969. In addition to Goldman his investment banking experience includes Salomon Brothers, Wasserstein Perella, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Thomas Weisel Partners. Most recently he was a public equity investor at the multi-strategy hedge fund Paulson & Co.
During his career Kevin has advised in M&A transactions, debt and equity financings and restructurings. As Head of Media Telecom Investment Banking he managed approximately 70 people in North America and Europe. His experience crosses industries as well and includes TMT, energy, chemicals, consumer products, business services, among others. In addition he has global expertise having completed transactions in Europe, Asia and South America as well as North America.
As an investor Kevin has led private equity investments in the consumer products, insurance, industrial products and services, energy, technology, and transportation industries. Additionally as a hedge fund investor he focused on event and value strategies in the global TMT industry.
Kevin has served on the Board of Directors for Steinway & Sons, Sealy and four other private companies.
Kevin received a B.A. from the University of Chicago, a Master of Science from the London School of Economics and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. Kevin is married with one daughter and lives in Los Angeles. He enjoys golf, bridge and time with his family.
